About Microneedling
Microneedling is a technique used to stimulate the natural production of collagen and generate new skin tissue. A FDA approved medical grade microneedling device, which is fitted with a sterile needle tip that moves at high speed motion (18,000 rpm), passes over the skin to create a microtrauma to the area. The microtrauma stimulates your skin’s healing abilities to respond with the production of collagen.
It is primarily used on the face for the reduction of acne scars, sun damage, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and wrinkles. It can also be used anywhere else on the body for scarring, stretch marks, or smoothing skin tone.
Best results are seen when completing a series of 3-6 treatments that are spaced 4 weeks apart. Results can last several years and quarterly treatments can be used to maintain the results.
